Hola, December.
Seems like Winters here are warmer and warmer each year. She usually doesn’t start lugging Rubbermaid bins from the attic until around January or so. This time around was a little different.
We decided to head to my parent’s for the weekend and it’s normally about a 5-10 degree difference from the city. Today, it was so cold, I was surprised I was able to persuade her to allow me to snap a few shots. She did, I’m satisfied and all is beautiful in the land of Nikon and overlays. 🙂
Dapper + Dash: A Cortney Annamaria & Sunni Rae Production *SNEAK PEEK*
Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of working with some extremely talented ladies and beautiful/handsome models. We started shooting around 8am and my car’s thermometer read 37 degrees, needless to say our models were troopers! Here’s a taste of  Dapper + Dash: “A Vintage, yet modern take on fashion.” These ladies had a vision and I’m honored I was asked to capture their skill. Stay tuned…more to come.

Project 828: Blastin’ the Past
A little over a year ago, I had the sweet opportunity to join forces with a few talented ladies from my hometown. The collaboration ran smoothly, our models were gorgeous and all was well in Rutherford County that beautiful Saturday morning. Â Today, I’ll be making the trip back to Rutherford County to hook up with some of these same ladies who worked behind the scene as well as a few new ones. There’s nothing better than to have a talented team to make it all happen beautifully. Stay Tuned for Dapper + Dash….

Happy Birthday, my love.
There’s that individual in life that one is destined to meet, fall in love with and share the inevitable ups and downs of building a beautiful world together. Stephen is my “one”. Â He’s my cheerleader, my comedian, my businessman, my late night snack pusher (LOL), my child’s “father”, my husband and most of all…my best friend. Today and always I want to celebrate the man he is and the man he has become since I’ve known him. We laugh so hard together until our bellies hurt, eat until we’re “full as ticks”, disagree like nobody’s business and love each other to the moon and back.
Happy birthday, baby and know that you’re loved x1million and fifty-three.

Raising Her…
The way I’m feeling tonight, I could type a book about this chick here…but I’m not. Â All I’m gonna say is that my love for her grows stronger each day. I’m so in love with the person she is and is becoming. She does her own thing and loves who she is. She doesn’t try to fit in..she is who she is and that’s just fine by me. I love you, Z and I’m SO proud to be your mother!
Monochrome Monday: It’s back!!!
There’s just something classy- yet subtle about a black and white image. About a year ago, I’d the idea of “Monochrome Monday” to pay homage to the black and white photograph- the original photograph. This morning, I decided I wanted to move forward with sharing my favorite black and white images and making Monochrome Monday a permanent home here on my blog. I hope you enjoy! Happy Monday!!

A lil’ bit of new new…
Yeah, it ain’t very often that I get treated to something extremely fabulous, but last Saturday, my world was completely ROCKED. We’d just finished up a couple’s shoot in Charlotte, NC (I’ll post images soon) and I asked my business partner (my husband, y’all) if we could run by Bigg’s Camera and check out the D600( that I’ve greedily had my eye on). He agreed and we headed on over. We arrived and immediately I walk up to the counter and ask the sales clerk if they had any D600s. He replied “yes, just got this one in, but I’mma warn you, once you test drive a Porche you don’t want to go back to driving a Honda.” I just smiled and waited for him to unbox my $1600 crush. He handed it to me and I felt as though I’d just held my first born son! LOL!! It was beautiful, it felt good..hell it even smelled good. I switched the power button to “on”, adjusted my settings and started snapping. Stephen had brought along our 24mm-70mm to use it in the test drive. I was in love and I’m sure my husband saw it written all over my face. We traded thoughts back and forth and told the salesman that we would be back after we discussed what we wanted to do. Twenty minutes later I was carrying that beautiful, yellow Nikon bag out of the store and into the car. The rest…well you’ll just have to keep an eye on my blog. 🙂
